The company’s core technology is a quartz sensor array system and data processing software which can be used to chemically profile a sample or environment. The array device consists of a number of different chemically sensitised quartz sensors which respond to stimuli. The extent to which each sensor responds will depend on its affinity for a given vapour. The response pattern generated by the array is essentially a fingerprint or chemical profile of the sample. Data for standard materials can simply be stored in memory and then compared with the current measurement.
